"Humans Being" is a song recorded and contributed by the rock band Van Halen for the film, Twister. The song's lyrics proved a major source of contention, as Eddie Van Halen felt compelled to rewrite Sammy Hagar's lyrics, calling them "cheesy". As a result, the song marks the last recording to feature the Sammy Hagar/Michael Anthony/Eddie Van Halen/Alex Van Halen line-up before Hagar's departure from the band in June 1996. The song reached number one on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks chart for two weeks, becoming their eleventh chart-topper.
"Humans Being" was included on both the Twister soundtrack and the band's Best of Volume I compilation, although the version used in the video for the soundtrack release is an edit @ 3:28 of the 5:10 length of the album version, removing several solo sections, a bridge, and shortening the ending.
